I recently set a goal to become fluent in Spanish, and in my free time, I enjoy volunteering, sports, and outdoor activities. I have a wife, two young children (with plans for more), and our dog who’s been with us since college. I’m excited to be a part of a clinic that prioritizes the best mental health experience for every patient, from staff that truly cares to the most effective mental health treatments available. Serenity Ranch is located close to Cactus and Hayden less than 5 minutes from the 101 freeway and close to meeting halls and treatment centers. Understanding a person’s background and experiences plays a significant role in their treatment and response, and psychiatry gives me the opportunity to look at more than just a physical exam or lab test and use the overall human experience as the basis for treatment. I was drawn to psychiatry because I enjoy connecting with my patients. I also believe overall nutrition and physical health, are integral parts of improving mental health and well-being. Every patient is different and deserves individualized care that addresses their needs and concerns while treating with the highest level of evidence-based treatments. Daily prayer and meditation promote peace of mind and overall serenity, and a sense of ease and comfort underneath our initial fears and frustrations make it easier to live life happily and usefully.I firmly believe in non-judgmental and compassionate care. When we let other people’s words and actions control our emotional states and dictate our own reactions, we give them the power we should be giving to our higher power. When we try to take the power back, we no longer are practicing the principle of faith, nor are we trusting that other people are capable of making decisions for themselves. When we fixate on things, try to change outside circumstances or the way people behave, we fall back into an old pattern of behavior, centered around selfishness and control. God, grant me the serenity, to accept the things I cannot change, Saying the serenity prayer, asking for peace of mind no matter what comes our way, helps keep us grounded and puts forth the idea that we will be okay, even if things do not go our way. When other people or circumstances override that innate sense of calm, we place more weight and meaning onto people and things than we know they have over us. At Serenity Mental Health Group, we offer specialized therapy for your unique needs. The purpose of spiritual connection is to feel empowered and hopeful, and to feel a sense of ease and a knowing that things will be okay as long as we trust the process. When we give other people the power to dictate our emotional and spiritual well-being, we are not allowing ourselves to maintain a spiritual connection to a power greater than ourselves. When we let other people or things affect our peace and happiness, that is not a problem regarding other people or things, that is a problem regarding ourselves. To take the definition one step further, serenity is the state of being at peace no matter what the outside circumstances may look like. Serenity is the simple state of being at calm, peaceful, and untroubled. The clinic treats conditions such as depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and suicidal ideation.
